Compute runs on Intel Xeon Scalable Gold 6230 processors. Data is stored on enterprise drives in RAIDZ2 arrays built from multiple vdevs, with multiple striped cache drives and full Supermicro JBOD disk shelves.
Is the storage network separate from the public transit network?
Yes. Backend storage traffic runs through its own switches and dedicated QSFP+ storage fabric. This is separate from the public transit network used by customer-facing VPS traffic and the optional 10Gbps public port upgrade.
What is Storage VPS designed for?

Can I upgrade a Storage VPS to a 10Gbps port?
Yes. Every plan includes a 1Gbps public port, with a 10Gbps public port available for an additional $5 per month. The plan's monthly transfer allowance does not change.
Is torrenting allowed on Storage VPS?
The BitTorrent protocol is permitted for legitimate material that you own or have permission to distribute, such as open-source software. Downloading or sharing copyrighted material without permission is prohibited. Valid abuse reports must be addressed promptly, and serious or repeated infringement may result in service suspension or termination under our Terms of Service.
